Cute Covers Review

Recently, I was given the opportunity to sample a product from Cute Covers

Cute Covers is a company that has offered fully-custom, handmade Bible covers for the youth (and in my opinion, for all ages) since 2006! The Bible covers are made in the USA by a Christian designer. These covers can be found in a WIDE assortment of fabric choices and designs to fit anyone's style.

According to Cute Covers' Facebook Page, their mission is "To shine the light of Christ through this ministry, spreading the gospel and provide products that protect and present the Word of God to the youth in a personalized way!"

In my family, we own TWO Cute Covers! I have one for my daughter, and purchased a second one last Christmas for my cousin. The owner of the company was very willing to make this cover in any way I requested. Here is the picture of the Bible cover purchased for my cousin, Mollie.

Mollie loves damask fabric, but also likes the subtle colors of black and white together. She's not really a girly girl, so she asked that it didn't have any bows attached. As you can see, the cover has a band of black fabric at the top, so that her embroidered name (in silver) really POPS, instead of fading into the pattern of the damask fabric.

As it should be no surprise, Mollie LOVES her Cute Cover! She said it was perfect, and just what she had envisioned!

Cute Covers are not just for girls. Just look at this adorable boy cover:

The boy Bible covers are perfectly suited to the "manly" taste of their owners :)

Another reason to love Cute Covers is that they offer monogramming and FREE shipping on all orders over $15 within the US! Wow! And they're prices are VERY reasonable. From what I've seen, these covers range in price from $10-$20, depending on the fabric you choose.

The covers are made very well, and it is apparent that the seamstress knows her way around a sewing machine. The stitch lines are even and straight, and the finished product is very professional-looking. You won't be spending your money on a cheap product when you purchase a Cute Cover.

Cute Covers has completed over 900 transactions within the USA, equaling hundreds of satisfied customers. Cute Covers has earned such recognition as eBay PowerSeller,

as well as eBay Top Rated Seller!

If you're familiar with these, you know that they are not an easy feat to reach!

Cute Covers can be found on Facebook, eBay and their brand new website! Please check them out for their full line of custom Bible covers to fit ANY size Bible, ANY colors and ANY style you call your own!

Sugar & Spice Designs Review

Recently, I was given the opportunity to sample a product from Sugar & Spice Designs

Sugar & Spice Designs is a company that offers custom, hand made hair accessories, custom announcements and invitations, diaper cakes, bow boards and memo boards. This review is a little different, because I actually purchased these products. Normally, I review products that are sent to me for a review. This is proof positive that I am a big fan of the company.

The bows I purchased include the "Jesus Loves Me" bow, a Green Zebra bow, a Black Zebra bow (which was included as a FREE surprise and a GIANT loop bow.

I absolutely adore Sugar & Spice Designs! They have great customer service, low prices and adorable style! According to their Facebook page, their products range from $10.00 and under! Wow!

Each bow in my selection is well made and attached to a partially-lined alligator clip. All bows, except the "Jesus Loves Me" bow, came with a FREE attached non-slip grip. This is absolutely necessary when it comes to giant bows, or they will not stay in your child's hair.

Sugar & Spice Designs can be found on Facebook, and I strongly suggest you check them out!

Disciple's Cross by Alycia Review

Recently, I was given the opportunity to sample a product from Disciple's Cross by Alycia
The product I was given to review was the Disciple's Cross™ Necklace.

When Alycia reached out to me for a review, she asked me which cross I would like to have. Among other facts, I told her my favorite color is green and that I am an Air Force wife. She made me exactly the necklace I was hoping for! Not only did she use my favorite color, she added a free "Air Force Wife" charm to my necklace. How sweet!

When I received the package in the mail, it was wrapped carefully in a bubble mailer. The necklace was slipped inside a small plastic bag, and attached to a card that explains the meaning behind this necklace.

The company's mission follows along with this Bible verse:
Matthew 16:24
"Then Jesus said to His disciples, 'if anyone wishes to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross and follow Me. '"

These crosses first became popular with the public when Pastor John Raymond of Slidell, LA wore them on the Emmy Award winning CBS television show, Survivor: Thailand. Because of the growing demand for the crosses after his appearance on the show, he started recruiting at home workers to help him produce them.

Alycia is a Certified Producer of the Disciple's Cross™ and has been making them for 2 years.

The Disciple's Cross™ is made up of three distinct components. The simulated leather cord reminds us of the leather straps used to beat our Savior; the wrapped wire stands for the thorn branches twisted into a crown to mock the King of Kings; and the nails represent the large spikes that were driven into the hands and feet of the Lord of Lords.

The necklace cord is fully adjustable, so you can choose to wear it long or short. The crosses can be made in 22 beautiful colors, and there are regular and military charms (like mine) available as additions for your necklace.

Alycia has also recently started making crosses featuring a 5th nail which symbolizes Jesus on the cross. These crosses can be made in a combination of two colors, if you so choose. If you would like to become a Certified Producer yourself, please visit www.disciplescross.com.

Another amazing fact I found is that $5.00 from every sale of the Breast Cancer Awareness Cross Necklace is donated to the National Breast Cancer Foundation, Inc. I really respect any company that will make charitable a donation its from sales, especially such a generous one.

This is a truly beautiful and fully custom necklace. I wore it all day, and will wear it for many years to come. I'm proud to wear such a meaningful piece of jewelry, which enables me to share my love of Jesus Christ for all the world to see.

New Product Sneak Peek - Scalawag Slip-ons

After creating my new line of shoes, which started with Mary Janes, I knew I needed to add items for boys. Although I have a daughter, I feel for those mothers who have a hard time finding cute items for their boys. So when I found the pattern from Crochet Dreamz, I decided to change it up a bit, and add a skull and crossbones. And from this idea, the Scalawag Slip-ons were born!

At the moment, I've only made a size 9-12 months. I am working on more sizes, and once I finish them, they will be for sale! This shoe in the pictures is made with a bone (tan) sole, black shoe and white skull and crossbones. They can be made in any color combination you would like.

I hope you love them!

Scrappy Gifts Review

Recently, I was given the opportunity to sample a product from Scrappy Gifts.

The product I was given to review was a product called the "Scrappy Canvas".

This product is a very cute idea. Instead of your typical scrapbook binder, a scrappy canvas provides you with a premade layout on top of a canvas that can be hung on a wall or attached to a fridge with magnets. All you need to do is add your own memories!

Instead of shopping for hours for the pieces to your scrapbooking puzzle, Scrappy Gifts does the work for you! They offer a full line of custom scrapbook-related products.

Along with their Scrappy Canvases, they also offer Scrappy Clocks, Scrappy Notebooks, Scrappy Layouts, and my personal favorite Scrappy Boxes (shown below).

Scrappy Gifts offers fair-priced, fully customizable products that will fit anyone's scrapbooking needs. For a great gift idea, please check them out on Facebook and Twitter. I know you'll find something you'll LOVE!

New Product Sneak Peek - Mary Jane Baby Shoes

For a few days, now, I've been working on ANOTHER new product line:  Crocheted Baby Shoes! I found the pattern and was able to adjust it for a total of 4 sizes. The shoes are available in the following sizes: Preemie, 0-6 months, 6-12 months & Toddler.

The buttons on the shoes are working buttons, meaning they are not sewn on just for show. Customers may choose any of the available colors, as well as from a wide assortment of buttons. If I do not have a button that is requested, I will work to find something that is similar.

I hope you like them!

Jenna B Boutique Review

Recently, I was given the opportunity to sample a product from Jenna B Boutique.

The product I was given to review was one of their latest products, a singed fabric flower. This flower is white silk, and is hand-sewn with a pretty pearl bead in the center. Each petal is a separate piece of silk. The back has a partially-lined alligator clip attached, and includes a non-slip grip. And since this boutique claims that they will do custom orders, you may also purchase this flower on a brooch pin. What a lovely gift idea!

This is a very pretty hair accessory, as I wore it today, instead of putting it in my daughter's hair. I dressed up a messy bun with the flower, and I feel like it added a touch of elegance to a simple updo.

The flower is just as it states: singed. This creates a realistic petal-like look to the fabric. The heat from the singing is just enough to curl the ends, and make them wavy, but it is not overdone to the point of being burnt.

Jenna B Boutique's products are fun and funky, priced well, and can be worn on girls and women of all ages! Please check them out on Facebook and Etsy. I know you'll find something you'll LOVE!

New Product Sneak Peek - Dress Up Playtime Prince Crown

A couple days ago I showed a sneak peek of the new Dress Up Princess Crown with a promise to debut a boy's version, and here it is!

I found the girl's crown pattern, and couldn't WAIT to try it out! After making the girl version, I decided to write a pattern that has a similar look to the girl crown, but would be unmistakeably for a boy. Here's a sneak peek before it hits my "virtual shelves."

This crown measures 18" - 21" before and after stretching. I estimate that it will fit snugly on a young child. I am working on more sizes, which is why I'm only offering a sneak peek for now.

I hope you like it!

New Product Sneak Peek - Dress Up Playtime Princess Crown

I am so excited to show you the latest addition to my lineup! I have a few plans for adding toys and dress up items to my products.

I found this pattern, and couldn't WAIT to try it out! It's funny, too, since the only yarn I had on hand that would work for the crown is the same color as the pattern displays. I try to change things up, for sure, but I usually carry only very soft yarn in my collection. Since I had some stiffer, pink yarn, it was the only way to go, without going out to buy more. And why not use up what you have? You can find the pattern on the Alli Crafts blog, and I suggest you "follow" this blog, as she has the cutest patterns!

I will be changing the pattern a little, to make room for a PRINCE crown, too! So if you have a little boy, keep your eyes peeled! Here's a sneak peek before it hits my "virtual shelves." haha

This crown measures 16" - 19" before and after stretching. I estimate that it will fit snugly on a 6-12 month old. It fits my 7 month-old very well, with little give. I am working on more sizes, which is why I'm only offering a sneak peek for now.

I hope you like it!

Another Hat for Charity

How much do I love donating my items to charity? Enough to stop watching my favorite t.v. shows or even put down the computer! And that's a lot! So when I was approached by Kate Tabers, the mastermind behind Kate's Custom Handmade Gifts, Motherhood and Money, and The Mommy Exchange, to donate to the Pediatric Cancer Unit of St. John's Mercy in St. Louis, MO, of course I said yes!

We discussed what type of hat she wanted me to make. Her goal was to reach 100 hats. What a feat! She had knitted plenty of girl hats, and asked me to crochet a boy hat. What started as an idea for a sports-themed hat, turned into my imagination running wild. Although it was far from the original plan, I wanted this deserving little boy to feel like a superhero. And that's exactly what he is. Don't you agree?

Here is the hat, inspired by Captain America, titled the "American Superhero Hat." Let's hope at least one little boy chooses to wear it!

Thank you, Kate, for including me in such a heart-felt gift opportunity. My heart feels very full after doing this. <3

Lots of love,

Sugar Mama

Cuddlebee Review

Recently, I was given the opportunity to sample a product from Cuddlebee.

How excited was I when I was offered a FREE BIB of my choosing! I just finished my first-ever HUGE Birthday Bash giveaway, on Facebook. I hand-picked my favorite pages to request sponsorship, and Cuddlebee was one of them, of course. The owner was so kind as to offer me a "hostess gift," or in this case a "Birthday Gift," as the theme for my giveaway surrounded my birthday in February.

So I headed right on over to their website, http://www.cuddlebee.com/, and I had such a tough time choosing! I was pleasantly surprised that the website was easy to navigate, and that their product lines were divided into Boy/Girl/Neutral items. This made it even easier. I have a little girl of my own, but I wanted to leave the option open to a neutral fabric, just in case I saved it for another baby in the future (wink wink - don't get excited, Mom, I'm not pregnant).

Now I know what you're thinking; neutral baby gifts are BORING! But Cuddlebee is here to prove you wrong! They have the most adorable fabric choices! See why it was so hard for me to choose?

Here is the bib I chose, the "Green Zoo" bib. Now, I'm sorry to say that the website no longer offers this bib. I'm not sure if they will offer it again, of if it is gone for good. But if you really love it and can't do without it, perhaps you can request that they offer the fabric again in the future.

This bib measures 12" x 9" and covers most of the front of my baby. The size of a bib is so important to me, since the whole idea is to protect those adorable clothes. The closure is a velcro system, and the back has super soft chenille fabric. All Cuddlebee products are triple-stitched for durability, and they're sent to you pre-washed in Dreft detergent.

Wanna know what else makes Cuddlebee products rock!? They're machine-washable! That's right, no hand-washing required. How simple. They're offering you fun, affordability and easy maintainance, all wrapped up in some really great products.

Please check out Cuddlebee online at http://www.cuddlebee.com/, or check them out on their Cuddlebee Facebook Page. I know you'll find something you LOVE!

To see my full video review of Cuddlebee's Green Zoo Bib, just click PLAY :)

NOTE: I do not receive payment for reviewing products. I simply did this out of the kindness of my Cuddlebee-loving heart.
