KK Children Designs Review {Plus a Giveaway!}

Recently, I was given the opportunity to sample a product from KK Children Designs.

KK Children Designs offers one-of-a-kind, handmade clothing, using designer fabrics. Everything created at KK Children Designs is custom made in a smoke-free home. The designer hand cuts each fabric piece and hand sews each button, so while each dress will be very similar, no two items are exactly alike. You can't help but feel special owning a beautiful work of art from KK Children Designs. Every dress they offer comes fully lined, which is important to keep diapers and undergarments covered. They use only 100% cotton, and they offer luxurious organic cotton options as well.

I was overjoyed when Peini Yang, owner of KK Children Designs, offered to let me review one of the products she sells. My daughter was turning two when we discussed the order, and Peini gave me several size and print options to choose from. I immediately fell in love with the Love Tree Dress. There was something about the ivory and baby pink color combination that really caught my eye. And I'm a lover of all things tree and birdy-like.

Peini sent one of her 100% cotton Organic Aline Dresses. These organic fabrics are purchased from Spoonflower.com. Spoonflower offers designers a truly revolutionary chance to have their custom designs printed onto fabric using eco-friendly, water-based pigment inks on natural fiber textiles. No additional chemicals are used in the printing or preparation process. And the prints are American Organic certified.

Our beautiful dress arrived neatly tucked in plastic, offering extra safety inside its shipping container. This helps to ensure that should the package get wet or damaged during shipping, the extra layer of protection will keep it clean and dry.

 My daughter did an immediate twirl when I put the dress on her. She adores everything girly and loves to dress up. Although she turned two this week, I chose the size 3T for her. It's not too big to wear for now, and I am certain she will get several years of wear out of it. The classic design of the dress will allow it to be a perfect tunic later on. When she grows too tall for the dress, she'll be able to wear it as a top with leggings or other bottoms underneath.

The organic cotton fabric used to make the dress is buttery soft. The fact that it is also a knit fabric means it has the perfect amount of stretch, making it an extremely comfortable outfit. The buttons are sewn on well. The dress is fully lined, keeping those diapers and undies covered up. And how cute is the hand-stamped logo she adds!? It gives it such a sweet, personal touch. Peini's eye for design is fun, unique and fashion-forward. Her sewing skills are top notch, as the dress looks and feels like it was purchased in a high-end boutique. Check out some of my other favorite items, found at KK Children Designs.

The "Gnomeville" Dress - So completely adorable, I'm at a loss for words!

The Sunny Happy Skies Dress - This combination of fabrics makes me melt!

The Cupcakes Party Dress - How perfect for a special birthday outfit!

The Double Ruffle Knot Top - It doesn't hurt to have a model this cute!

Since working with and getting to know Peini, I am honored to call her a friend. Her personal story has captured my heart. I will keep her close to my heart forever. Peini takes time to make each one of her gorgeous creations with love. She says she considers herself to be, "a very picky perfectionist when [it] comes to sewing," and adds that she, "loves simple, happy and elegant stuff." Please check out KK Children Designs for all that she offers. You won't be disappointed! Take a little escape from your day to enjoy the beauty she creates.

Here, Peini tells us a little bit about herself.
"I am a stay home mom with 2 beautiful twin girls. I am very passionate about sewing. I studied fashion design in college and have always loved to create things.
My inspiration comes from my family. My dad always taught me to do everything as perfectly as I can do it. My mom taught me to take pride in my work and to always keep on pushing. My twin daughters have always supported my love of sewing.
To me, handmade means lots of love and I do take time to make each item. I love to use the newest, chic, colorful, stylish and most elegant designer fabrics.
Every step in my creation is done with love and care. My goal is to create 'grow with your child(ren's) dresses and outfits'. I will continually be adding new outfits and hope that you check back very soon!
Thank you for visiting KK Children Designs. :>"
