Posies and Petals Review {Plus a Giveaway!}

Recently, I was given the opportunity to sample some products from Posies and Petals.
Posies and Petals offers high-quality, custom made hair accessories. You'll find nothing but darling and affordable pieces of beauty in store. Each tiny work of art created at Posies and Petals is handmade and one of a kind. You'll also be happy to know that you only pay shipping on the first item when you place an order, so every additional item ships free!

I could not contain my excitement when Megan Miller, owner of Posies and Petals, offered to let me review some of her beautiful hair accessories. I have been a fan of her shop for a very long time, and I was dying to get my hands on some of her lovely hair accessories for my daughter. Lucky for you, I was not only able to review these little beauties, but one of you will have a chance to win some for yourself!

I was sent four hair accessories for review. The collection includes a Felt Rosette Trio in white, a Mini Felt Hair Bow in blue, a Layered Felt Flower in pink and a larger Felt Hair Bow in purple. Each of these accessories are attached to lined alligator clips, as this is what I had requested. I love headbands, but my daughter tends to pull them out of her hair. Luckily for all customers, Posies and Petals offers your choice of attachment on every one of their items. You are able to choose from an alligator clip, ponytail holder, headband or brooch pin.

The hair accessories arrived in a ribbon-tied tulle package, perfect for gift-giving.

The white Felt Rosette Trio is so adorable. It is set on top of two cute, little green leaves, and it measures just over 1".
The purple Felt Hair Bow and blue Mini Felt Hair Bow are darling. They have just the right amount of bunching in the middle and sweet v-cut ends. Bows like these are one of my favorite styles of hair accessories to place in my daughter's hair. The purple bow measures at 3 1/2" and the mini bow measures 2 3/4" in length.

You can see the size of the purple bow in this picture. We were headed to the hospital for tests, just a few days before I had my son. ♥

The pink Layered Felt Flower has a fun mini jeweled center, and the petals are creased down the center, imitating the look of real flower petals. I also like that the flower isn't stacked too tall, which would make it look strange on top of my daughter's head.

Posies and Petals uses high quality felt for their hair accessories. Anything less would create a cheap-looking and floppier version. And much time and effort is put into the cutting, sewing or gluing of the accessories. Check out some of the other beautiful items, found in her Etsy shop.

The Light Blue Wool Felt Flower Rosette - An elegant accessory for any occasion!

The Pink Rosette Trio Headband - Look at the dainty details!

The Cream Felt Flower Headband with Rose Center - A beautiful flower for every little lady!

The Perfect Mini Felt Bow Hair Set - Dress up any and every outfit with this tiny bow!

Megan's products are so well made and beautiful! She puts plenty of time and effort into every little piece of art she creates. You won't be disappointed in the quality of her pieces or their prices. Please check out her shop for all that she offers. I'm sure you'll find the perfect accessory for your special day, or every day!

Here, Megan tells us a little bit about herself.
"An online boutique with a small town, southern feel.
Posies and Petals is a boutique rooted in my small town upbringing. I grew up in a connected community that prides itself in friendliness and southern hospitality. It is a place where people take time to greet one another and listen to stories about your day, a place where your friends and neighbors are always there to lend a hand-sometimes even before you’ve asked.
These virtues drive the boutique as I listen to your requests and we work together to create your pieces. Whether we’re creating a pin for your mother, a headband for your daughter, or a hair clip for yourself, I will do my best to bring your vision to life. Each item will be unique and custom made for you!
When I’m not working with clients, I enjoying spending time with my family, running, and photography. My kids and I are always on the go around our community and beyond. I never tire of watching them discover the world with amazement!
Thanks for taking the time to stop by Posies and Petals. I hope that you enjoy the shop and I am looking very forward to working with you.
~Meg"

WoolfWorks Review {Plus a Giveaway!}

Recently, I was given the opportunity to sample some products from WoolfWorks.

WoolfWorks offers fun and durable placemats that are unique and personal. Whether you're in the market for children's learning mats or personalized mats for boys and girls, you will find a range of great design options. Every placemat created at WoolfWorks is heavily laminated using 10 mil lamination, making them easy to clean and extremely long-lasting. The quality of a WoolfWorks placemat is second to none, and the design options are fun, original and personal.

I couldn't have been more happy when Susan McPherson, owner of WoolfWorks, offered to let me give an official review of her products. The truth is that I already own one of her placemats, so I knew I would be very willing to stand behind her company to the benefit of my readers. Having the opportunity to add to my WoolfWorks collection was in itself a treat, but getting to share the experience with you made it even better!

The placemat I already own from WoolfWorks is my daughter's personalized "Olivia" placemat. Here she is about six months ago, posing with it. You'll see from the photo that it is a nice size, measuring in at 18" x 12". The coverage I get with this placemat is so great. She can still be a messy toddler, while not wreaking havoc on the table. And clean up is truly a snap. The laminate is totally durable and easy to clean. This placemat has thus far stood the test of time in our house, and I'm sure it will last for many more years to come.

The placemats range in price from $7 to $30. So when it comes to gift-giving, these make such a cute, fun and affordable present. I recently had my second child, a boy, and I was given a new placemat for my son AND a Happy Birthday placemat for review!

How fun is this Personalized Dinosaur Placemat, made just for Trevor!?
The best part of my new mats are the sentimental value. I'm big, and I mean big, on sentimental stuff, especially when it comes to my kids and family. The fact that both my daughter and son now have their own mats is great. It keeps it "even" and lets each one of them know how special they are.

And this Happy Birthday Placemat is now a keepsake our family will have for years!
The Happy Birthday placemat has its own backstory. Growing up, my family has always had a vintage 1940's birthday tablecloth, which started from my great grandmother. We use the tablecloth during all birthday parties in our family. We also have a special birthday plate. The birthday boy or girl gets to eat from that plate on their birthday. Now that I'm grown with a family of my own, my new WoolfWorks birthday placemat will serve the same sentimental purpose. My daughter will be the first to use it next month, when she turns two.

If you like my placemats, then you should check out some of the other great designs, found in her Etsy shop.

The Princess Placemat would be so adorable for any little girl's birthday party!

Just look at how much fun this little cutie is having!

Want to be able to invite boys to the party, too? Add them to the table with this Star Wars Themed Placemat!

Does your kiddo have dreams of stardom? The Rockstar Placemat would be the perfect fit! It comes in other colors for boys, too.

And the Superhero Placemat is BOOM, POW, BLAM, awesome!

Just picture your next birthday party, decked out like this. I think all boys and girls of any age would think it was awesome to have personalized placemat party favors for all their besties to tote home afterward.

Susan is a talented mom and business woman. Her designs are popular and fun, and her prices are great! I fully recommend you check out her shop for all that she offers.

Here, Susan tells us a little bit about herself.
"WoolfWorks was established with my mom about 10 years ago (Woolf is my maiden name). My mom created multi-sensory learning games for children. She has retired and I am now creating learning mats and personalized placemats.
My friend asked about a year ago if I could make personalized placemats for her daughter's Pancakes and Pajamas birthday party. After the success of that birthday party, I realized there was an interest for personalized party favors. I started to design and market my placemats towards birthday party themes.
I am very lucky to have a full time teaching job as a computer graphics teacher in a wonderful school district in Kansas City. I really enjoy creating these placemats as a side job. All placemats are made to order. If there is a theme that I don't have a design for, please send me a message and I will create that design. Or, if you like a design but want different colors or font, just send me a message and it can be done.
Thank you for your interest in WoolfWorks!"
