TLC Woodcrafters Review {Plus a Giveaway!}

Recently, I was given the opportunity to sample a product from TLC Woodcrafters.

TLC Woodcrafters offers extremely high quality and well made children's gifts. Their items are custom and personalized, made to fit what you're dreaming of. They use real, solid hardwood, only the finest Baltic Birch. They take the time to hand paint everything, using only child safe lead free finishes. And every item created at TLC Woodcrafters is sturdy and made to last the test of time. It is clear that much time and effort is put into every piece they create, as I believe every one of their items is truly a labor of love.

I grew up near Branson, Missouri. The area is known for attractions like Silver Dollar City, several musical shows, and high quality, hand crafted everything! Why does this relate to TLC Woodcrafters? TLC Woodcrafters' products remind me of something you could find there. The products they sell are so unique and fun. You can be sure that everything you see on their website is well made, durable and whimsical. TLC Woodcrafters' products are made by experienced hands. Because I make a living through crochet, I just love the old fashioned nature of a handmade gift. There is nothing I appreciate more than something that was made by hand, with love.

You can imagine my excitement when Brian Cloutier, owner of TLC Woodcrafters, offered to let me review one of the products he sells. I recently had my second child, a boy, and I was given a Dinosaurs Name Puzzle for my review. The puzzle is made of Baltic Birch plywood. It is warp resistant and lightweight, yet sturdy. Sturdiness is so important when it comes to children's toys.

Just look at how adorable the puzzle is! You can see below how each piece fits in the base.

My son's puzzle measures in at 14.5" L x 9.25" W. It's a sturdy 1/2" thick. The puzzle pieces are 1/4" thick. The dinosaurs are laser engraved and hand painted, with the cutest faces on each one. I was given the option of primary or pastels for the paint colors. I chose primary colors, which I thought would be a better fit for my little guy.

I absolutely LOVE my son's new puzzle! It is personal, whimsical, and will be treasured forever. I am a very sentimental person, especially when it comes to my family. My husband and children are the loves of my life. So something like this means more to me than most anything you can buy on a shelf. The fact that TLC Woodcrafters took the time to hand make this puzzle for my son means the world to me.

After trying out the toy, I found that the puzzle pieces fit so nicely into the base. They are snug, but not so much to cause trouble when trying to put them in and take them out of the base. They feel great in your hand. There is no question of any part of this puzzle being poorly made. It is obvious that the puzzle is made by master woodworkers. They use high quality materials and carefully hand paint each individual piece. It is so smooth to the touch, having no rough edges. And the paint work is perfect. All of these qualities make this puzzle well worth its $55.95 price tag. You can't find handmade products of this quality for a better price. Check out some of my other favorite items, found at their website.
