Waterproof Reusable Snack Bags {A Tutorial}

I have been planning for our summer vacation, with an attempt at making our trip a little easier. Today, I have made waterproof reusable snack bags.
I made these bags with an amazing product I was lucky enough to find on a trip to the store. It is called Iron-On Vinyl, and it's from the popular brand, Heat 'N Bond. Therm-O-Web makes this product and I absolutely love it! I bought mine at Wal-Mart by the yard, but the 2 yard pack from Therm-O-Web would have been perfect for the amount of bags I made.
I don't have to say much about these bags. Because, well, they're awesome. You fill 'em up. They empty 'em. You wipe 'em out. And then repeat!
And since they take just a small amount of fabric and a short amount of time, you can whip up a bunch easily. I made a half dozen, so that both my son and daughter had three each.
Want to make some of your own?

Let's get started.

Peek-a-boo Lace Socks {A FREE Crochet Pattern}

I have a freebie to share with you today: my Peek-a-boo Lace Socks Crochet Pattern!
These were a blast to design. And they're even more fun to wear. Wear them under a pair of pumps for an instant "Sexy Librarian" look!
These socks are a little tricky if you are a beginner. I wouldn't suggest them for your first project. The reason is that you'll use a large hook with thin, crochet thread, and keeping the correct gauge is difficult unless you have a little experience under your belt.

The large loops created by this hook and thread combo give them a stretchiness that helps them to span several shoe sizes. Although the pattern makes two sizes, each size spans about 4 shoe sizes. The small size fits around US Sizes 4-7. The large size fits around US Sizes 8-11. So no matter your shoe size, you should be able to make a pair that fits!
